This is why you were ghosted after applying…

ONE of the most frustrating stages of a job search is when you apply for that dream job and weeks go by until you hear anything…in extreme cases, months!

It’s disheartening and almost enough to throw you off your goal completely. But don’t let it!

When it comes to Cabin Crew recruitment, airlines typically receive hundreds, if not thousands of applications and these take considerable time to process. Some applications receive an unsuccessful outcome within a couple of hours of applying, others within a week, and others may not hear back at all (Recruiters, I’m looking at you!).

So how do you pick yourself back up with no ‘closure’ after a job application? Do you even bother applying again?

Handy things to note upon applying for a job include:

✈︎ How long has the job been advertised for?
✈︎ When does the job post expire?
✈︎ Does the airline mention anywhere in the job post when the next ground school commences?
✈︎ Does the airline mention how many they’re recruiting for?

These tips can offer an insight as to the duration of any one recruitment campaign. For example, if a job was posted on the 1st of the month, with an expiry the 20th of the same month and you applied on the 1st, be prepared to wait until at least the 20th to hear anything. Some airlines are fast at processing applicants, others not so much. Many applications fall through the cracks during the process due to not meeting some very basic requirements.

These requirements can be fixed! Let Sky Coach guide you in making sure your application doesn’t fall through the cracks.
